Leader Aggregates Sand & Gravel Delivery is delivery only. No yard, no pickup, just the right truck to your address with the material placed where you need it. Here's what to expect.
The basics
- Load sizes
- Small loads start at ten bags. Super sacks hold about a ton. Bags for repairs.
- Access we need
- Tell us about gates, slope, and parked cars.
- Timing
- Same-day when a truck is free, if you call a couple of hours before the yards close. Otherwise a straight window for the next day. We call ahead before we roll.
- Delivery slips
- Every load comes with a delivery slip showing material, quantity, and date. Not a certified weight ticket.
How do I know which truck fits?
Describe the street and the driveway when you call. Tight residential streets and short driveways usually take a bobtail. Open lots and long driveways take a transfer or end dump. We match the truck to the access, not the other way around.

Where will the material go?
Where you point, as long as the truck can reach it safely and the ground holds. Mark the spot with cones or a tarp. Past a gate or down steps, super sacks are the usual answer.
What if nobody is home?
That's fine if the spot is marked and the access is clear. Send us a photo of where the pile goes. We'll text you the delivery slip when it's down.

Can you split a load between two materials?
Often yes, on trucks with two compartments or as two drops on the same run. Ask when you call and we'll tell you what fits.
Two-hour windows
You get a two-hour window, not a day. Delivery is quoted with the material as one price.
Access, and who calls it
The driver decides whether it is safe to back onto your property. If you ask us to drive onto a driveway or a yard we will put the material where you want it, and we cannot take responsibility for what the weight does to the surface.
Tight is usually fine. One Hollywood Hills driveway was too steep to back down without the fuel tank catching, so Skip rented a dump trailer and ferried the load down with his pickup until midnight. Another was narrow enough, with low enough power lines, that the customer's review called him a surgeon with a dump truck.
Standby and payment
Twenty minutes on site is free. After that standby runs $140 an hour. Most orders are paid before delivery, and contractors who order regularly can ask for a credit application.
Super sacks
One cubic yard each, about three times what the bags at the home center hold. They come in on a flatbed with a forklift that sets them where you want them, usually down a tight driveway into a backyard. For a deep construction pit we can order crane-rated sacks, so the crane lowers them to the crew instead of a truck dumping over the edge.
When we're not the right fit
- We're delivery only. There is no yard to visit, so you can't pick up material or look at it before it arrives.
- We provide delivery slips with every load, not certified weight tickets.
- There is no minimum. Small orders pay the regular delivery fee, and super sacks and bags cover the small ones.
If any of those is a deal-breaker for your job, tell us when you call and we'll say so straight.
