What is short-load concrete?
Short-load concrete is ready mix delivered in smaller quantities, from 1 to 5 yards. You get a consistent mix without ordering a full truck or mixing bags on site.
How much is a load delivered?
Pricing depends on tonnage and where the truck is going. Call (213) 999-8161 with your city and the amount you need and we'll quote one straight delivered price, no add-ons.
What should I have ready when the concrete arrives?
Forms set, rebar or mesh placed, a clear path for the truck or a plan for wheelbarrows, and enough hands to place and finish. Tell us the mix strength you need and the pour time when you call.
We supply it, your crew places it
The mix is ours. The pour, the screed and the finish are yours. Short loads run 1 to 5 yards, and it goes well past that: full 10-yard trucks, and larger pours when they are scheduled.
Mixes
2,500, 3,500 and 5,000 PSI, in a 3/8" or a 1" rock. Tell us the PSI on your plans and what you are pouring.
Slurry
Sand, cement and water, mixed loose enough to flow. When a water main lets go and washes out the ground under a street, slurry goes in through a small cut and fills the void, instead of tearing up a hundred feet of road to reach it. Cities buy it for that. Trench and utility backfill too.
When we're not the right fit
- We're delivery only. There is no yard to visit, so you can't pick up material or look at it before it arrives.
- We provide delivery slips with every load, not certified weight tickets.
- There is no minimum. Small orders pay the regular delivery fee, and super sacks and bags cover the small ones.
If any of those is a deal-breaker for your job, tell us when you call and we'll say so straight.
