A dump truck with its bed raised pours dark gray crushed rock onto a concrete driveway in front of a house.

Gravel, DG and base delivered in Mentone

For contractors and homeowners, from ten bags to full loads.

Mentone is rural lots, orchards, horse properties, and long private driveways at the foot of the mountains east of Redlands. The ground is rocky alluvial soil off Mill Creek, which drains well but makes for rough, dusty driveways and washboard roads. Most of what we bring here goes onto driveways, around barns and arenas, and into the drainage that keeps winter runoff where it belongs.

What gets ordered here

  • 3/4" crushed rock for driveways and the shared private roads between properties.
  • Class 2 road base to firm up soft spots before the rock goes on.
  • Decomposed granite around stables, arenas, and paddocks.
  • 1" and 3/4" rock for drainage swales and French drains.
  • 2-4" rock for entrances that take trailers and heavy trucks.

Getting a truck in

Long driveways are the norm and our trucks handle them. Tell us about low tree limbs, soft spots, and whether you want the load spread along the driveway or in one pile.

When we're not the right fit

  • We're delivery only. There is no yard to visit, so you can't pick up material or look at it before it arrives.
  • We provide delivery slips with every load, not certified weight tickets.
  • There is no minimum. Small orders pay the regular delivery fee, and super sacks and bags cover the small ones.

If any of those is a deal-breaker for your job, tell us when you call and we'll say so straight.

Questions we get every day

How much rock does a long Mentone driveway take?

Roughly one ton covers 55 to 60 square feet at four inches. Give us the length and width and we'll do the math on the call.

Can you spread the load along the driveway instead of dumping it in one spot?

Yes. Tell us when you order and the driver will tailgate it along the run.

Do you deliver to horse properties?

All the time. DG for arenas and paddocks, crushed rock for the lanes.

Do you deliver the same day?

Often, yes. Our supply yards close around 4:30 or 5 PM, so call a couple of hours before that. If a truck is free it goes out today. If it can't make it, it's there first thing in the morning.

What's the smallest amount you'll deliver?

No minimum. We have delivered ten bags and we have delivered 6,800 tons. Small orders pay the regular delivery fee.

Can you deliver into a tight driveway or backyard?

Yes. Our drivers place material where you need it, including tight access.

Do you provide weight tickets?

Every load comes with a delivery slip showing our information and the tonnage.

What areas do you serve?

Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, day in and day out. Special material has gone as far as Sacramento, Redding and Las Vegas.

Do you do short-load concrete?

Yes, 1 to 5 yards, and well past that: full 10-yard trucks and larger pours. We supply the concrete, your crew places it. Mixes are 2,500, 3,500 and 5,000 PSI in a 3/8" or 1" rock. We also deliver slurry.

Do you haul away material?

Yes. Dirt, broken concrete, asphalt, and demolition debris that recycles. No metal, no wood. The concrete and asphalt go to a recycler and come back as base rock.
