A dump truck with its bed raised pours dark gray crushed rock onto a concrete driveway in front of a house.

DG, decorative rock and base delivered in Redlands

For contractors and homeowners, from ten bags to full loads.

Redlands has more landscaping work per square mile than almost anywhere we deliver. Old citrus-era neighborhoods with mature trees and deep lots, hillside homes on the south side with steep driveways and retaining walls, and a steady wave of lawns coming out in favor of decomposed granite and rock. Leader Aggregates Sand & Gravel Delivery brings the DG, the decorative rock, and the base under all of it.

A dump truck with its bed raised has dropped a pile of gray crushed rock on bare dirt beside a concrete slab.

What gets ordered here

  • Decomposed granite, regular and stabilized, for paths, patios, and front yards replacing lawn. Stabilized holds up to foot traffic and rain; two inches is the standard depth.
  • Decorative rock: California Gold, Pearl White, and the lava rocks are the usual Redlands choices.
  • Class 2 road base under pavers, DG, and new driveways.
  • Fill sand and fill dirt behind retaining walls and for regrading hillside lots.
  • Mulch and bark for the planter beds around older homes with established trees.

Getting a truck in

Tree-lined streets and low branches are the thing to warn us about in the older neighborhoods. On the hillside, tell us the driveway grade; some loads go better as super sacks on a flatbed than as a dump off a slope.

When we're not the right fit

  • We're delivery only. There is no yard to visit, so you can't pick up material or look at it before it arrives.
  • We provide delivery slips with every load, not certified weight tickets.
  • There is no minimum. Small orders pay the regular delivery fee, and super sacks and bags cover the small ones.

If any of those is a deal-breaker for your job, tell us when you call and we'll say so straight.

Questions we get every day

Which DG is right for a Redlands front yard?

Stabilized if anyone walks on it; regular if it's purely for looks. Both go down two inches.

Can you deliver to a steep driveway in south Redlands?

Yes. The driver decides what's safe, and super sacks are the backup when a dump truck can't get where you need the material.

Do you deliver small amounts for a landscaping project?

No minimum. A couple of tons of DG or rock is a normal order.

Do you deliver the same day?

Often, yes. Our supply yards close around 4:30 or 5 PM, so call a couple of hours before that. If a truck is free it goes out today. If it can't make it, it's there first thing in the morning.

What's the smallest amount you'll deliver?

No minimum. We have delivered ten bags and we have delivered 6,800 tons. Small orders pay the regular delivery fee.

Can you deliver into a tight driveway or backyard?

Yes. Our drivers place material where you need it, including tight access.

Do you provide weight tickets?

Every load comes with a delivery slip showing our information and the tonnage.

What areas do you serve?

Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, day in and day out. Special material has gone as far as Sacramento, Redding and Las Vegas.

Do you do short-load concrete?

Yes, 1 to 5 yards, and well past that: full 10-yard trucks and larger pours. We supply the concrete, your crew places it. Mixes are 2,500, 3,500 and 5,000 PSI in a 3/8" or 1" rock. We also deliver slurry.

Do you haul away material?

Yes. Dirt, broken concrete, asphalt, and demolition debris that recycles. No metal, no wood. The concrete and asphalt go to a recycler and come back as base rock.
